Our team

Kate - Founder & Chief CRuNCHer

Kate’s the beating heart of CRuNCH. With years of experience running cookery education programmes and an infectious energy that fills every room (and kitchen), she’s on a mission to rebuild our broken relationship with food, one meal at a time. 

Lauren - CRuNCH Crew Co-ordinator

After graduating with a BSc in Engineering from Newcastle University and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Deloittes, Lauren trained as a chef. Highly organised, she’s a whizz with a spreadsheet and is as passionate about systems and project management as she is about cooking and nutrition. Extremely creative in the kitchen, Lauren loves working with and inspiring the next generation!

John Thompson

Chair of Trustees

A global tech leader with a background in building networks for brands like Vodafone. John now helps CRuNCH build something even more meaningful: healthier lives and stronger communities. 
Strategic thinker, problem solver, passionate advocate for youth potential. 

Rayne Roberts

Nutrition & Public Health Expert 

Rayne brings science and heart to everything we do. With an MSc in Nutrition, Physical Activity and Public Health, she’s spent her career translating evidence into action. Her work has powered programmes for schools, sports clubs and national health campaigns.

Mental Health Nurse & Youth Advocate

As a mental health specialist at the University of Bristol, Chris sees the impact of poor diet on wellbeing every day. He’s passionate about prevention, and about using food to build confidence, connection and resilience. 

Anna Robinson

Trustee & 
Schools Expert

Anna has over five years' experience in schools, and now works as a strategy consultant at BCG. She's seen how good nutrition boosts focus and confidence in the classroom and is passionate about challenging the rise of ultra-processed food and helping young people build healthy, lifelong habits.
