For Schools & Communities

Bring Cook5 to Your School or Youth Group

If you’re a teacher, school leader, youth worker or community organiser, we’d love to work with you!

Cook5 with CRuNCH is a fun, hands-on programme designed to give young people real-life cooking skills, a better understanding of nutrition, and the confidence to make healthier choices for life.

Cook5 on the BBC

In March 2025, BBC Points West visited us at Worle Community School Academy (WCSA) to capture a Cook5 session in action – we even made it onto the breakfast, lunchtime, and evening news!

Fajita Fiesta at WCSA

Fajita Day is always a hit!
Not only is it one of our most popular dishes, it’s also the perfect way to talk about the benefits of eating the rainbow – plus, who doesn’t love a good ‘fakeaway’?

Spanish-Inspired Cooking Meets the Curriculum

At WCSA, we’ve been mixing food and language learning in a cross-curricular Cook5 project with the Spanish department.
Students learn about Spanish culture, the Mediterranean diet, pick up some handy vocab, and whip up five healthy tapas dishes over five weeks.

Hear What Schools Say

“I am over the moon that we have had the opportunity to work with Kate piloting her Cook 5 initiative, Kate’s positivity and energy are infectious and our young people have loved learning to cook family recipes from scratch with her

Equipping our young people with basic skills to enable them to lead healthy and happy lives has never been more of a priority and one that we are equally passionate about at Merchants' Academy. More of the same please Kate!”

Sam Williamson, Principal of Merchants' Academy, Withywood, Bristol
