Our mission?
Our mission is to empower young people in the UK with the skills and knowledge they need for better physical and mental wellbeing, to enable them to participate in society as healthier, happier adults.
How will we deliver this?
A two-pronged approach, we want to inspire change from the ground up, at grassroots level, as well as provide research and advice on best practice in the context that shapes physical activity and nutritional behaviour from the top down....
Advocacy and Campaigning
Helping to restructure the landscape that shapes physical and mental wellbeing, for instance, working with the food industry, policy makers and NGOs to raise awareness of and help solve food related public health issues.
Grassroots Activities
Community-led initiatives such as 'Cook5 with CRuNCH' to improve public health outcomes, providing training, advice, guidance and resources, working directly with communities, schools, youth organisations and GP practices.
Let's Collaborate!
We like to work together with other organisations to help transform the future of the way we eat.
This covers a wider spectrum; from improving our food environment, sustainability, the food we buy in our shops and restaurants and the food provided in our schools, to equipping our young people with the skills to make better food choices and, of course, to cook healthy food at home...
We are proud to be working with...
Help Us Spread The Word!
Example of Campaigning Work, highlighting on LinkedIn the amount of sugar in Costa drinks.
A bitter-sweet story this autumn 🍂...
😧 Costa's new autumn treat, a Maple Hazel Hot Chocolate 320ml take-out contains 38.5g of sugar - that's at least 9 teaspoons.
😧 54.8g (11 tsp). That's what's in Costa’s hot chocolate (large 497ml). Perhaps you’d like to add a portion of marshmallows or caramel syrup?
