5 Healthy Meals Kids Can Cook Themselves
(With a Little Help!)

Cooking isn’t just about food — it’s about confidence, independence, and a sprinkle of fun. At CRuNCH, we love showing kids that the kitchen isn’t scary, it’s a playground for learning. Here are five easy, healthy meals children can help make (with a guiding hand from an adult where needed!).

1. Rainbow Wraps

All you need are wholemeal wraps, hummus, and a mix of colourful veggies (carrot sticks, peppers, cucumber, spinach). Kids can spread, sprinkle, and roll their way to a tasty, crunchy lunch.

2. Egg Muffins

Crack some eggs, add chopped veggies, cheese, and a pinch of herbs, then pour into muffin tins. Bake until golden. They’re bite-sized, fun to make, and perfect for lunchboxes.

3. DIY Pizza Toast

Swap takeaway pizza for something healthier. Toast wholemeal bread, add tomato puree, a little cheese, and toppings of choice — pineapple, mushrooms, or sweetcorn. Pop under the grill and enjoy.

4. Fruity Overnight Oats

Layer oats, yoghurt, and fruit in a jar, then leave overnight. Kids will love opening the fridge in the morning to find their ready-made breakfast.

5. Super Simple Stir Fry

With some adult supervision at the hob, kids can stir together noodles, veggies, and a splash of soy sauce. Quick, colourful, and delicious.
